Gesundheitswirtschaft schlägt Alarm

Home monitoring for the chronically ill or interdisciplinary case conferences via the internet. Given demographic change and the shortage of physicians in structurally weak regions, Brauns sees no way around telemedicine. Teleconsultations could save physicians time — but they cannot bill for them. This is one of the reasons why telemedicine has so far barely made it into standard care in Germany.
