smart medication eDiary supports people with hemophilia in their therapy management. In hemophilia, blood clotting is impaired, making therapy with factor concentrates essential. These are medications that are subject to mandatory documentation.
With smart medication eDiary, all important events can be recorded quickly and easily. The essential documentation becomes a minor matter, leaving patients more time for other things.
It is the hemophilia app for straightforward documentation of prophylaxis, bleeds and procedures. Simple, secure and user-friendly.
It is the tool in patient care – for patients in everyday life as much as for the treating physician at the hemophilia treatment center. Physician-monitored home self-treatment makes it possible to optimize therapy and thus gain quality of life for the patient.
The digital substitution diary for people with hemophilia is a multiple award-winning electronic diary for optimized self-management in daily life with a blood clotting disorder. The digital diary is registered as a medical device and – unlike other diaries already available on the market – also works as a standalone app. This means patients can use smart medication eDiary independently of their treatment center.
smart medication eDiary is free of charge for patients and physicians.
The application is independent and self-contained, also works offline and is provided directly by the manufacturer. No registration in an official app store is required. The sensitive health data is available exclusively to the patient and, with their consent, to their physician. No data is passed on to third parties. Where needed and consented to, smart medication eDiary additionally offers interfaces – connections including studies, third-party systems, pharmacies and the German Hemophilia Registry.

smart medication eDiary makes it easier for patients to document their therapy and bleeding events and provides the treating physician with the course of therapy in real time and in previously unknown quality.
The high-quality long-term data collection is also suited to supporting the long-term therapy goal of “avoiding joint bleeds”.
The consumption of factor concentrates is subject to mandatory documentation and regulated by the German Transfusion Act (TFG). Via an interface, factor consumption can be reported directly from smart medication to the German Hemophilia Registry (DHR).
Regardless of whether the factor concentrates are administered by the physician or by patients themselves, they must be documented – just like bleeding events. This is usually done in a paper diary that is presented to the physician at the next check-up.
But: the handwritten diary kept by the patient is error-prone, time-consuming and often incomplete. Physician monitoring of this therapy is barely possible; moreover, the recorded events are not always evaluated promptly but often months later, at considerable expense of time. This makes therapy optimization enormously difficult. The clearly presented records the app generates from the entries benefit patient and physician alike.

The more complete the documentation for people with blood clotting disorders, the better the therapy can be optimized.

The easier the documentation is for patients, the better they will keep it up. And the more detailed the recorded data, the easier it is for the physician to tailor the therapy to the individual patient.

The more individually the therapy is tailored to the patient, the fewer bleeding events they will have. Combined with a mobile, digital and smart documentation tool, patients gain flexibility in everyday life. The result: more freedom and quality of life!
