smart medication develops digital solutions for the care of people with rare chronic diseases. The spectrum ranges from apps and portals connecting patients and their treating physicians, through collaboration tools for physicians, centers and pharmacies, to applications for clinical studies and registries as well as tools for market access and sales – increasingly complemented by AI-powered solutions.
Our products originated in a field that benefits particularly from digital support: rare coagulation and bleeding disorders. People with hemophilia and other factor deficiencies, with von Willebrand disease or immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) manage their therapy throughout their lives – and depending on the therapy, physicians and pharmacies are subject to strict statutory documentation and reporting requirements, for example under the German Transfusion Act (TFG) and the German Pharmacy Operating Regulations (ApBetrO). This is exactly where our tools come in: they take the documentation burden off patients, give clinicians the complete treatment history at a glance and connect everyone involved – from the treatment center and the pharmacy to the registry.
What began with the digital diary for hemophilia today supports the entire therapy management – up to the structured management of gene therapies. Our products are continuously being developed further; some are already available, others will be available here soon.
