Innovation Network for Serious Games Founded

On June 13, 2017, the innovation network Serious Games Technologies (“SGT”) was founded. smart medication and Rösch & Associates GmbH are proud to count themselves among the founding members. SGT was formed under the leadership of the Hessisches Telemedia Technologie Kompetenz-Center e.V. and with scientific support from the Multimedia Communications Lab of the Technical University of Darmstadt.

What are serious games?

Serious games are games whose main purpose is not entertainment. They have at least one additional goal, for example a learning effect, a change in behavior, or raising education and awareness. They are used by teachers, instructors, trainers, physicians, and therapists, among others. Applications can be found in areas such as sports, health, nutrition, mobility behavior, safety, religion, climate, energy, and much more.
