smart medication – Elektronisches Substitutionstagebuch, Monitoringtool und Bestandsmanagement für Patienten mit Hämophilie

Hemophilia is an inherited disease in which the lack of clotting factors leads to a considerable impairment of blood clotting. The result is spontaneous bleeding, which can be life-threatening. It is caused by gene mutations and requires lifelong replacement of the clotting factors that are missing or produced in insufficient amounts by the body. As long as the patient receives the missing clotting factor, he can lead an almost normal life. The clotting factor must be injected intravenously, directly into the blood.
