Germany is a pioneer in the field of digital health applications, having created the corresponding legal framework. Is the immense effort required to get one’s own app listed in the BfArM directory worth it for startups? A critical look at the state of digitalization in the German healthcare system must not be missing either, because unfortunately quite a few things are going wrong there.
