Dr. David Schmoldt contributed as an author to the new VDE position paper “Vernetzte und intelligente Medizintechnik als Treiber eines modernen Gesundheitssystems” (Connected and intelligent medical technology as a driver of a modern healthcare system). The paper is the outcome of the VDE ITG advisory board “Qualifizierung HealthCare” and the VDE DGBMT technical committee “Geschäftsmodelle Intelligenter Assistenzsysteme” (VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V., Offenbach am Main, 2026).
It calls for consistently harnessing the benefits of digitally connected medical technology for better patient care – from manufacturers and hospitals all the way to health policy.
